The Guiding Wisdom of Dreams
Submitted by Janice Deluca on Wed, 02/14/2007 - 2:02pm. Spiritual ChatBy Janice DeLuca
Dreams reflect the voice of our soul, delivering gifts of wisdom, guidance, balance, support, insight, and healing. They can reveal our struggles and conflicts, offer knowledge and wisdom about the past, present and future, and ultimately act as a ruder, directing(guiding) us to greater Self-awareness and the destiny of our soul.
Many times we can find ourselves in situations where we aren’t sure which direction we should go, we are faced with difficult decisions, troubled relationships, or wondering if it is time to sell our home, switch jobs, what is the pain in our body trying to tell us. We may ask advice from friends, seek professional consult, or we can choose to make direct contact to our deepest knowing by asking for a dream.

We’ve all thought it: “I can’t stand how I feel in this relationship. I’m done.”

Multi-Sensory Children
Submitted by Therese Rowley on Wed, 02/14/2007 - 1:47pm. Spiritual ChatBy Therese Rowley, Ph.D.
All children are gifted. And although it often goes unsaid, it is undoubtedly our job as adults to seek out, evoke, and name the giftedness in each child. It is vitally important that we identify gifts, because people cannot see their own gifts except when they are recognized in contrast with others. Even for the profoundly gifted, their talent and its expression are “normal” to them. It is also important to focus on a child’s giftedness because there is a growing trend to do the opposite: to look for and label children as “disordered.” There seems to be a growing number of children who are talented in unusual or unusually intense ways. Many of these children do not find traditional schools helpful or happy places. In my opinion, those diagnosed as “learning disordered” are actually “differently ordered” when measured by the shrinking definition of (educationally) “normal”.

A Day in the Hay: Animal Reiki Barn Dance

Part 1:
On a gorgeous and sunny Sunday afternoon recently, there was a meeting. A meeting of hearts and minds, seeking to come together and learn from each other, and learn from the animals. I drove up the gravel road to the barn to meet with a small group of members from one of the Animal Reiki class sequences here outside of Chicago. In previous classes over the past two years, we had only worked in person with canine participants during Level 1 of the course, and I had not ventured into taking students to a barn to work directly with horses. However this time, for students in the course interested in learning more about horses, we were being warmly hosted at the barn by Hope, a fellow Reiki Master Teacher, along with several horses at the barn including Dakota, Lady, Frosty, Country Swinger, and Snoopy.
